◈ 분사구문
분사구문은 이유, 시간, 조건, 양보 등의 부사절을 이용하여 간략하게 나타내는 표현을 합니다.
* 접속사: 일반적으로 생략합니다.
주어: 주절의 주어와 같을 경우 생략합니다.
동사: 동사원형 + ~ing 로 바꿉니다.
ex) 시간이나 때:
Traveling around Ireland, I always stay in small hotels. ( As I travel around Ireland)
이유:Knowing little of London, I bought a map of the city. ( As I knew little of London)
조건:Staying in the sun for too long, you may get a sunstroke. ( If you stay in the sun for too long)
양보:Doing the job, he wondered if it was worth it. ( Even though he was doing the job)
* 부대 상황의 분사구문: 어떤 행동에 대한 동시 동작 (~하면서) 이나 연속동작 (그리고~하다) 의 의미를 나타냅니다.
ex) Having sent the email to her, he turned off the computer.
(그녀에게 이메일을 보낸 다음 : 연속동작)
We took a walk together, enjoying the fire view.
(멋진 경치를 즐기면서: 동시동작)
