◈ 관계대명사 that
관계 대명사 that은 who, whom, which 대신 쓸 수 있습니다.
Ex) I'd like to be a singer that (who) can make many people happy.
Where is the cheesecake that (which) was in the table?
하지만 'that'만 써야 할 경우가 있다는 것이 함정입니다.
그러므로 'that'만 써야 할 경우를 꼭 기억해야 합니다.
1) the 최상급, the 서수, the only, the very, the same 등이 선행사를 수식 하는 경우 (which도 가능하지만 주로 that 을 사용)
2) 선행사가 something, anything 등인 경우
3) 선행사가 사람 + 동물 or 사람 + 사물인 경우
- This is the worst hotel that I'ever stayed in. (최상급이 선행사 수식)
- Do you know the man and his cat that I am looking for? (선행사가 사람 + 동물)
- Take a couple of breaths and think of something that gives you pleasure.
(선행사가 something, anything 인 경우)
