* 동격 관계 / 병렬 관계 *
* 동격 관계: (대)명사의 의미를 설명 하거나 다시 말하고자 할때, 뒤에 다른 명사 (상당구어)를 추가하여 설명 하는 경우 이 둘을 동격 관계에 있다고 한다.
ex) He invited Mary, his neighbor, to the party.
- 콤마(,)로 연결: Mary = his neighbor -
He came here in the hope THAT I would help him.
- 동격의 접속사 that: the hope = I would help him -
He gave up the idea OF borrowing money.
- 동격의 전치사 of: the idea = borrowing money -
* 병렬관계: 한 문장에서 두개 이상의 동일한 요소는 동일한 형태가 되어야 한다.
ex) Mary enjoys READING books or MAKING food in her free time. (등위 접속사에 의한 연결)
They ate not only HAVING fun but also TAKING on a healthy lifestyle. (상관 접속사에 의한 연결)
The story gets more and more BORING rather than INTERESTING. (비교에 의해 연결되는 어구)
