Á¦   ¸ñ : face the music!

Idiom: (to) face the music

Meaning: to admit that there's a problem; to deal with an unpleasant situation realistically

Example: Enron executives finally had to face the music and admit that they were involved in some illegal activities.

Example: Salesman 1: I saw Joe coming out the main door today with a box?
Salesman 2: Yup. The CEO made him face the music for the bad
decisions he made managing the SK account. I hear the
discussion got rather heated when they talked about why
SK stopped the order and then the CEO let him go.

Usage Context: Commonly used anytime someone has to be held accountable for a mistake or a problem in both British and American business circles. I read somewhere that the origin is from the British Army long ago. If you were to be kicked out, they played the drums as you were being marched away to whatever fate was before you. The drumming is the ¡°music¡± for this idiom.
